The easiest way to pay is to set up a payment from your bank account to our bank account. Once set up, you don’t need to worry about paying your rent – you just need to make sure funds are available when the payment is due. This is the best way to make sure payments are quickly and conveniently credited to your account.
Download a Direct Debit form or call 0161 331 2050 to set it up over the phone.
Download a standing order form or call 0161 331 2050 to request a mandate to be posted to you.
24 hour automated payment line
For the Automated Payment Line, simply call 0161 331 2224. Make sure you have your card and bank details to hand, as well as your unique ‘payment reference number’. You will also need a push button phone.

New Charter customers can now pay rent straight from their mobile phones following the launch of a new payment app. The app is free to download from the Apple App Store, Google Play and on Windows phones using the links below.
Step 1 – Download the app. There are a number of ways in which you can do this:

Step 2 – Follow the instructions to set up your account
You will need…
Your New Charter plastic payment card (if you can't find your card call us on 0161 331 2050 and we can help). You will be asked for the long number across the middle of the card where it says ‘ Payment reference number’.
You will also need the bank card that you want to make payments from.
You will need to input a PIN number and a password so only you can access the app.
The payment should be in your account the next working day after you have made the payment via the app.
Online payments via online Customer Hub
Log in to the online Customer Hub to make payments. You will need your 8 digit payment reference number.
BillPay is our online banking service, which is provided by Santander. This allows payments by debit and credit cards for all banks and building societies and is a free service. If you are using BillPay for the first time, you will have to register your details and you will require payment reference numbers for the bills you are going to pay.
Pay at the Post Office or PayPoint Outlet using a payment card or fob or barcode.
Please note that these payment methods can take longer to process which can lead to delays in your payment being credited to your account
