Tameside Housing Advice can help with all sorts of queries and will help you to resolve your housing problems. The team can also advise you on how to deal with debts which may put your home at risk, and provide information about support available to you if you are struggling to live independently.

Second Generation

Second Generation is a group of local people who have set up a company in Stalybridge to collect and re-use good quality furniture, white goods and other household items that might otherwise have gone to landfill. This helps our environment, and could help you if you are looking for good quality, affordable furniture for your new home.

We collect suitable items free of charge from the community and clean, repair and safety check them before selling them on at a low price to people who cannot afford to pay the market price.

Our aim is to assist anyone in need of help turning a house into a home.
